In 1987, Lubbock County Bar Association (now Lubbock Area Bar Association) President, Robert Wilson, established The Lubbock Law Notes. The Lubbock County Bar Association’s monthly publication was recognized in 1993 by the State Bar of Texas with the Star of Achievement Award. Copies of The Lubbock Law Notes are delivered to members of the Lubbock Area Bar Association via first-class mail on a quarterly basis.

The editorial staff reserves the right to edit all submitted material for content and form. Additionally, the editorial staff assumes to the obligation to print submitted material and reserves the right to refuse to publish submitted material at its sole discretion. The preferred format for submissions is Microsoft Word.

The Lubbock Area Bar Association will accept advertisements for publication in Law Notes. LABA will not send general
advertisements through e-mails to its membership and will not provide mailing labels for advertising purposes.
All ads must be prepaid. Ads submitted to Law Notes are accepted on the basis of space availability, and LABA reserves the
right to edit or reject an ad. Due to space limitations, Law Notes does not accept full-page ads. Ads must be 1⁄2 page or smaller in size.
